Together with plenty of space for children to play, a wealth of footpaths (and the opportunity to see the cows and calves when the season is right!), this is an excellent base for touring. Perfect for a relaxing West Country break all year round.
Wiltshire has something for everyone, from countless picturesque towns and villages to world-famous monuments, such as Stonehenge. Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole are must-see beauty spots, Longleat offers a superb family outing, while the cities of Bath, Salisbury and Wells boast much for any visitor. Shops and pubs are within 3 miles, with riding, fishing and golf all nearby.
Accommodation
Very comfortable lodge with one double and one twin. Lounge with French doors leading to verandah, overlooking Oakfrith Woods.

Reviews
If you're looking for a good base or somewhere nice and peaceful away from city life, this lodge is just for you. It is situated on a farm looking out over the countryside, it was well equipped with plenty of room outside for my children to play/run around and lots of books and games for them to play inside. I really enjoyed staying here, it felt like home.

Discover the quiet charms of Wiltshire’s rolling hills and wide valleys during a break in one of our great choice of holiday cottages in Wiltshire. Much of the county is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it’s ideal for walkers. Cyclists are particularly welcome on the quiet country lanes and designated cycle paths.
There are so many wonderful places to visit in this historic county from ancient druid monuments to magnificent stately homes, fabulous gardens and glorious Georgian towns. All are within easy reach of our holiday cottages in Wiltshire. Stonehenge is one of the world’s great wonders, truly deserving its must-see status but the stone circle at Avebury is just as mysterious. There is also Longleat, famous for its Safari Park and grand Elizabethan house and a great family favourite. Garden-lovers should not miss Stourhead, one of the finest examples of 18th century landscape design, dotted with classical temples. And then there’s the magnificent cathedral at Salisbury, set in a wonderfully preserved medieval close. You’ll also want to explore Wiltshire’s many pretty towns and villages – places like Cosham, with its Georgian houses in Cotswold stone, Bradford-on-Avon, Marlborough, famous for its school, and perfectly preserved Lacock with its famous abbey.
